….That’s what our theory teacher said before starting the first class. I like his teaching style and I really like how he’s structuring the class. The first class was mostly going through all the diatonic 7th chords created within a major scale and classifying them as Tonic, Subdominant and Dominant. Then he went on to explain how diatonic western harmony is basically the motion between these 3 types of chords. It’s very different from what we learned in theory last year, but I think it’s going to take less time for me to use this for writing tunes.
